Natural and ecological insulating cork roll. High compression and finishing quality. For construction, industry, offices, schools and DIY.

Continuous coils up to 50 m long depending on thickness. Product made up of purified natural cork granules that are agglomerated with certified polyurethane binders for installations compatible with food uses. Approximate density of 250,- kg/m ³ . High quality, one polished face. fine grain  

It is manufactured in compact cylindrical blocks and is subsequently rolled into a continuous sheet.

What is the optimal thickness for cork rolls?

The thicknesses of the rolls that we supply are the following: 1 mm, 1.5 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, 6 mm, 7 mm and 8 mm . Standard width normally available from 1,- m . Optional 1.22 m with availability to consult at the moment.

The thicknesses recommended to obtain a good insulation and also to nail thumbtacks from 5,- to 8,- mm . In these 2 thicknesses we always have widths of 1,- and 1.22 m .

Applications of Cork Rolls

• Great Compression: Excellent compressibility with very good recovery. Ideal for technical applications of various kinds that require a high flexibility of the cork sheet, which is achieved by the adequate size of the granules and high adhesion between them.  Approximate density of 250/255,- kg/m ³ .
• Model making: Ideal for model making work due to the small size of the granules and high adhesion between them. You can also work as dry industrial joints and within the limits of this sheet.   Approximate density of 250/255,- kg/m ³ . 
• Parquet Sub-Base: Ideal as a sub-base for light flooring and wooden parquets. Static electricity neutralizer product. It is a technical and economic product due to the use of various granules, it is not polished and when it is installed hidden its aesthetics are not taken into account. Approximate density of 200,- kg/m ³ .  
• Industrial Applications: With appropriate density for sound and vibration absorption. Approximate density of 250/255,- kg/m ³ .
• Wall lining : Ideal for lining walls and making boards to hang advertisements. Supports medium and high density floating pavements. It can be punched and cut with ease. Coating for schools and colleges. Indoor use, not outdoors. Approximate density of 230,- kg/m ³ . 

Adhesive for Cork Rolls

It is for this reason that our bet is to glue on the wall with solvent -based contact glue . An example of a glue is Novopren Especial Corcho, fast-setting and solvent-based. Soudal Cork can also be used. Another water-based option is Ecotack. 

As an alternative we have to use a polymeric adhesive such as Krafft's Polymer to stick cork rolls on the wall.

We make sure the wall is clean, dry and free of dust before we start, we apply the adhesive to the back of the cork roll with a putty knife or brush to spread it evenly, and we press the cork roll against the wall. 

On the other hand, it is important to mention that there are other alternatives to fix the cork on the wall such as nails or screws, these are more resistant and durable.

However, if you prefer to use a quick adhesive, we can supply you with double-sided tape to stick the cork to the wall.

The cork with adhesive prepared behind, although it is easier and faster to install, can lose its adhesion over time, especially if the wall is exposed to humidity or changes in temperature. It is not as durable as cork that is attached with glue or polymer.
